Love it. I just cannot understand that the recipe is for such a ridiculously small batch. This is gone in a day. Plus, 12 minutes of precious oven gas for 1/3 cup of pecans?? This recipe as written is not at all environmentally friendly. Seriously, if you need to toast about 15 pecans, just coat in oil and nuke them. Or skip it and use them raw. My recco is to quadruple the recipe and store the cookies in an airtight container. Other than that the recipe is a keeper.

Oh boy! I follow exactly weighting instead of measuring. My dough is so sticky it clogged my Cuisinart food processor. I managed to get rolled up and will leave it for 2 days before attempting to cut/bake. Any hints?? Weather is warm and dry.

These are delicious. So good with a nice cup of coffee. Using multi-colored nonpareils was a terrible idea but didn't ruin the taste, just the appearance. They would also be delicious rolled in ground almonds or sesame seeds. I'm going to try again, spending more time on creating a better looking log.

These cookies are delicious - slightly salty and not too sweet. The grocery was out of white non-pareils, so I thought, hey, these could look really cute with rainbow ones instead. HUGE mistake! The colors ran and it looked crazy(in a bad way). Looked like unicorn po. . . Nevermind, you get the idea. Will make again, but will make sure to have the white ones. I had to leave a review on this one just so other people don't make the same mistake I did.

Any suggested substitutions for pecans? I like (almost?) all other nuts, just not pecans.
